Bhandup pumping station (BPS) is a unique biodiversity right in the middle of the largest city of India, Mumbai. BPS is the breeding and feeding ground for many different species of birds, reptiles and also insects. BPS is attracting a lot of migratory and non-migratory birds over the years. BPS encompasses diverse landscapes with salt pans, grassland, a lake, mangrove forest and a creek.
