Paryavaran Dakshata Mandal (PDM) is a non profit NGO dedicated for the cause of
environmental conservation through research and education. It has been working at the
grassroot level for the past 25 years in Thane district, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. The
main objective of our NGO is to seek public participation in solving various
environmental concerns viz. conservation of natural resources and biodiversity,
conservation of forests and aquatic ecosystems like wetlands, lakes, rivers etc.. In order
to achieve such local participation, we have undertaken various projects and activities.
‘Paryavaran Shala’- Open School of Environment, ‘Nisargayan Titwala’ – Environmental
Education Project, Green Shoppe (Small Purchase, Big Difference), ‘Aapla Paryavaran’
Publication (monthly Magazine and annual Calendar), ‘Nisargayan Mamnoli’ – Nature
Exploration Centre, Clean Creek Movement, Green Lover’s Club and ‘Maza Talao’ – My
Lake Campaign are our ongoing projects and many more.
